Enjoy Radio announces a new artist session series

Enjoy Radio has announced a new series of artist sessions, bringing performers into the studio for a conversation and a few songs played in a setting close to the listener. The series is designed to sit alongside the station's live programming and to give artists touring with the group a direct way of meeting their audience.
Each session combines an interview with a short recorded performance. Artists talk about the music, the tour and the cities they are visiting, and listeners hear the material in a more intimate form than a stage allows. Sessions will be broadcast on air and kept online afterwards, so that a moment in the studio is not lost once the show ends. Over time the series will become an archive of the artists the group has worked with.

How the series will work

The sessions draw on the artists whose shows are promoted by Enjoy Events, with additional guests from across music and culture. Where a visit to the studio is not possible, sessions may be recorded in the city where the artist is performing, with the same approach to sound and conversation. The aim is consistency of quality, so that every session sounds considered wherever it was made.
The station's presenters will lead the interviews, and the format leaves room for questions from listeners. Clips from each session will be cut for social channels and the web, helping the music reach people who may not yet be tuning in to the station. Listeners who discover an artist through a clip can then follow the story through the full session and the tour that follows.

Radio is at its best when it feels like a conversation. These sessions are about giving artists the time and the room to have one.

The Enjoy Radio team
Enjoy Radio is available online and through its app on iOS and Android, reaching listeners across the UK, Europe and beyond. The app brings together the live stream, the schedule and listener rewards, and will carry the new sessions as they are released. Dates and guests for the first sessions will be published on the station and in the app as they are confirmed.
Artists, managers and promoters who would like to take part in a session can get in touch through the partnerships page, and listeners can follow the schedule on the station and in the app. The team would like the series to feel open, generous and unhurried, in the same spirit as the station itself.
